MANUFACTURER’S SUPPORT PROGRAMME UPDATE
ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, Thursday, May 21, 2015: The Inland Revenue Division of the Ministry of Finance and Energy wishes to advise manufacturers that the deadline for accepting applications for Eligibility/Standing under the Manufacturers’ Support Programme for 2015 has expired. However, recognising the importance of the Programme to the Industry, the Division has agreed to offer an extension for submitting applications to Friday, May 29th, 2015.
Applicants are reminded to address all applications to the Comptroller, Inland Revenue Division, with the following content:
· Number of persons currently employed;
· Value of export sales for the period January-December 2014;
· Value of sales excluding export sales for the period January-December 2014;
· Level of Investment in 2014.
Under the Manufacturers’ Support Programme, Government has a tax expenditure allocation (concessions) of up to $2.5M to support manufacturers through which certain Inland taxes paid by manufacturers can be reduced.
Please note that manufacturers who do not submit their application by the new deadline of Friday, May 29th, 2015, cannot benefit from the Programme.
