VALIDATION WORKSHOP: DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENT OF THE CONSUMER PROTECTION LANDSCAPE IN THE OECS REGION
ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA. Friday, September 23, 2016: The OECS Commission has partnered with the Jamaica Fair Trading Commission and the Government of Grenada to convene an OECS Validation Workshop as part of a Diagnostic Study being undertaken of the Consumer Protection landscape in the OECS Region.
The Validation Workshop is scheduled to be held on September 27th and 28th, 2016 at the True Blue Bay Boutique Resorts, True Blue, St George, Grenada.
The main purpose of the Validation Workshop is to discuss and validate findings emanating from the various country Missions undertaken across the OECS region. The Validation Workshop further serves as a platform through which recommendations can be proffered and proposals discussed to enhance administrative, regulatory and institutional arrangements which exist and promote the protection of consumer affairs and interests. Issues surrounding the implementation of these arrangements at both the national and regional levels will also be ventilated.
The Validation Workshop represents an essential component of the Diagnostic Assessment as it will chart the path for the way forward for all OECS Member States.
